Heylo!
So I'm back, after a long long time, with an altered project!
So.. you know the Indian Wedding Invites that you receive?.. the ones with a beautifully "jhatak" wedding card and a box {with chocolates or sweets or something yumm!}. Well, what do you do after a day or so when you're done with pigging out on all the yumm stuff?
I decided to alter it and make it into a shadow box!
It closes just like a book!
I made this one for my sister. Its all about our trip to Germany last summer and our love for travel!
I am a collector, it might be a sickness really, because I actually made a check-in official rummage through zillions of old baggage claim tags because he accidentally threw mine in the pile.
Supplies:- World Travel Tissue Paper - decoupage; Washi Tape; Alpha stickers{DCWV Travel Pack}; Wooden Clothespin{local}; Round Embellishment - DCWV Travel Pack; Brown Pigment Ink Pad;
|
I added a few receipts, one from each place we visited, each have their own special stories! :)
Supplies:- Chocolate Brown CS; Old Story Book Paper; Embellishments-DCWV Travel Stack; Bird Paper Clip - local stationery store; Mulberry Flowers; Paper Clip; Blackn pen; Twine; White Doiley;

Also added a one-cent coin I had saved up. And, of course, our tickets!
The clothespin was perfect to hold the Castle ticket {I didn't want to stick it down because it has journaling and text at the back, she can simple take it out to read! *yay*}
Do you see the puffy clouds at the top-right corner?
These were intricately designed {*wink*} using thick paper border with glassine and topped with cotton!
Because I wasn't interested in making a SIMPLE shadow box { and this post inspired me!}
So, I added a few connections and I made THIS!
I love the clouds lighting up! :D
I was inspired by the Lessology Challenge #34: Laundry Day and Beyond Grey Challenge #48!
Also, on the note of making something pretty, here's an idea I tried out with some POP and good old silicon moulds! {Same thing I did for THIS layout!}
Supplies:- POP; Silicon Flower Mould; Flat-backed Board pins; Acrylic Paints;

Adding a touch to your inspiration boards! *wink*
And one last random up-date!.. I BAKED! :D
